A. L. Waldo Stockton has now been AWOL from his family for TWO decades! Enough is enough. One of the fun things is trying to figure out which of the grandchildren he reincarnated into--there are so many possibilities. Or maybe he and Grossi are just kicking back somewhere watching the drama unfold--thanks, Paps, as if life wasn't weird enough.
I sure do appreciate all the stuff he taught me... and left us. Life would be a lot harder and more painful without the nest egg accumulated over the years, mostly prominently Venetia. He might not have approved of some of my decisions post-Waldo, but I think he would have appreciated the effort. 20 DAMN YEARS! C'mon, man....
Not sure how he would have felt about DJT, but he would have loved the direction the country is going. As do I. (Sorry, not sorry, kids). Our reunion isn't scheduled yet (at least it's not on my calendar) but it gets closer every day. I hope he's OK waiting a bit longer. Love you, Daddy.
